ESLRs: Expected Schoolwide Learning Results

Through the teachings of our Catholic faith and the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet,
the following are the Expected Learning Results (ESLRs) for Saint Joseph High School.

By graduation a student should be:
A Christ-Centered Person who
  • has a foundation in Catholic teaching
  • has the ability to make good moral choices
  • evidences Gospel values
  • respects, values and serves others (the "dear neighbor")
  • exhibits holistic growth (spiritual, intellectual, artistic, social, physical and emotional)
A Complex Thinker who
  • can identify, analyze, integrate, hypothesize, evaluate and apply knowledge when problem solving
  • thinks independently, creatively and effectively
  • makes value judgments
An Effective Communicator who
  • speaks articulately
  • writes clearly
  • utilizes technological resources effectively
A Collaborator in group settings who
  • works effectively
  • assumes a variety of roles
A Community Contributor who
  • is an involved citizen
  • has developed a sense of morality
  • acts as a responsible member of the global community
  • appreciates the multicultural diversity of our society, recognizes similarities among people, and values both

 

GRADE LEVEL GOSPEL VALUES

The SJHS grade level Gospel values were developed as part of the integrated curriculum program. Each grade level uses its particular Gospel value throughout the year in a variety of learning activities as it relates to the subject. The Gospel values are:

Sophomores- Hope                                        Freshmen--Faith
