Saint Joseph High School Tuition and Fees

Saint Joseph High School is a Catholic, all-girls, college preparatory high school in the Los Angeles Archdiocese. However, the LA archdiocese does not subsidize any portion of the operating budget. Tuition covers 75% of the cost to educate each student so we rely on fundraising and volunteerism to supplement the operating cost.

 

SJHS offers outstanding academic and co-curricular programs in a safe, spiritual environment for a reasonable price. We work very hard to keep our tuition among the lowest in the area. An SJHS Catholic education is an investment in your daughter’s future.   We offer discounts for annual tuition payments and multiple students.   Saint Joseph High School offers a comprehensive scholarship program. Need-based aid is available through the Catholic Education Foundation and Saint Joseph High School.

There is a $550 yearly discount for each additional student attending SJHS at the same time.  

 

There is a $225 yearly discount if you have a son (sibling to your daughter) attending St. John Bosco High School.

 

Saint Joseph High School uses Smart Tuition to process automatic payments for bi-yearly and monthly tuition payment plans. Every family is required to use Smart Tuition.

Family Pledge Program

The Saint Joseph High School Family Pledge Program is an important fundraising component that enables us to meet the needs of our current students, bridge the gap between the tuition/fees and the cost to educate the students, and plan for the future.  Each family is expected to participate in the program.  Click here to learn more about the Family Pledge Program.

 

Family Service Hour Program

New SJHS Families (Freshman and Transfers Students):  Our Bingo program is a long-standing fundraiser and its proceeds are used to operate the school.  New families are expected to complete their service hours by working at four Bingo events.  Families who opt out of working Bingo must pay $600 by December 5, 2017 ($700 after December 5, 2017).
  • The Bingo Program will schedule four Wednesdays to work
  • If you miss Bingo, $150.00 fee will be due by the Wednesday following your scheduled date. If not received at the finance office by 3:30 p.m., an additional late fee of $25.00 will be added.
  • Families who have already worked at Bingo because they had another daughter attend SJHS may select another service opportunity (see below) 
  • If your daughter withdraws from SJHS, a prorated Bingo service hour fee will be charged.

 

Established/Returning Families:  Each family is obligated to work 20 hours of service per year.  Service hour opportunities are offered throughout the year and will include the ability to donate merchandise or gift cards to earn service hours.  Please watch the "Monday Minder" and school eMails for Service Hour opportunities.   

  • In lieu of service hours, a family may pay a fee of $30.00 per hour.  
  • If your daughter withdraws from SJHS, a prorated service hour fee will be charged.
  • Hours must be complete and submitted by March 27, 2018. A late fee of $50.00 will be charged for service hours or service payments submitted after March 27, 2018.
