Course & Book Information

A course list confirming classes will be mailed the first week of July. Included in the mailing will be information regarding book buying and/or class fees.

Students will receive specific teacher, room numbers and block information for their courses at freshman orientation.

We will provide you with the title and ISBN number for each book and/or workbook listed. Adams Books is the school’s official provider of textbooks and will have a good inventory of new books. Adams has a limited supply of used textbooks. You may access their website at www.k12.studentdirect.com. The user name and password to access the site will be included in the July mailing.

With the ISBN numbers we will provide for each book and/or workbook, families can use the following alternatives for purchasing textbooks:

www.amazon.com
www.academicbookservices.com
www.campusbooks.com
www.textbooksrus.com

If you know students who are currently 9th graders, you may want to contact them to discuss buying their used books.

PE. Uniforms & Locks

Uniforms and locks can be purchased at the bookstore in late August. Please note that all locks must be purchased from SJHS. Orange locks are for P.E. lockers. The class of 2014 must have GREEN faced locks.

Class Supplies

There are no specific class supply lists for high school. Teachers will review any supplies needed the first week of school and will allow students a reasonable amount of time to purchase supplies. Students should be prepared with pens, pencils, a binder and lined paper.

Lockers

Lockers will be issued the first week of school. Students must purchase a combination lock from SJHS. If you are using a lock from your sister or a friend, please keep in mind that it must be a GREEN lock for your school locker and an orange lock for your P.E. locker.
