MATHEMATICS

The Mathematics Department of Saint Joseph High School attempts to fulfill the potential of each individual student. Through our perception and understanding of the student's rate of assimilation, the department offers a variety of courses designed to challenge each student. In agreement with the school's philosophy, the mathematics department recognizes "the dignity and value of each student, her uniqueness as a person and her need to develop an awareness of self and self-worth." The department members, with their knowledge and appreciation of mathematical concepts, operations and applications, hope to enable students to use mathematics effectively in today and tomorrow's world.
