Coaches
SJHS always gives preference to teachers who want to and are qualified to coach a sport. In the event an on-campus coach is unavailable, walk-on coaches are hired. All coaching positions are seasonal, and no coach is guaranteed more than one season of employment. Coaches are renewed or hired by the administration in consultation with the athletic director. Because coaches are at-will employees, they do not enjoy the same contractual rights as a teacher.
