Choir
The choir at Saint Joseph represents a broad cross section of the student body. The combined choir, at over 100 members, must be experienced at one of the two concerts given each year. The overall choir is made of smaller groups to allow for more direct instruction and a range of singing experiences. The Morning Choir- Meets on our Tuesday-Late Start days, primarily made up of veteran choir members and athletes, this choir wakes up ready to go. The Afterschool Choir- Meets Tuesday after school, this choir is a great starting point for students wishing an introduction to the co-curricular choir experience. The Show Choir- This smaller group requires audition for entrance. The Jesters join a group of Saint John Bosco students to learn more challenging music and choreography.
The Liturgy Choir A select group of singer who lead the student body in worship.
The Competition Choir- Each year a group of choir students travels to compete in Heritage Festival events. This year the group will compete in Hawaii, following up their Silver Medal performance in New York, and Gold Medal turn in Orlando. The choir holds two concerts a year. The Christmas Concert, in early December, offers solo performances and choir arrangements of sacred music and holiday favorites. The spring concert each year picks a theme. Past concerts have included, Motown, Broadway, and Disney.
